Does that mean you don't do any of the work yourself? Adjusting the idle only takes a 10mm wrench and a bit of contorting your body. Measuring the length of the throttle rod requires a ruler.
I do stuff that I know how too. None of my buddies have diesel’s so I am on my own. Coolant flushes
Brakes disk and drums
Fuel, oil, and air filters
Serpentine belt
Alternator
Getting ready to do the thermostat and water pump on my 04.
But I have never opened up a motor. Guess I will try to do the idle adjustments on my own. This site has been crucial for my mechanical confidence.

You do know there is a free factory service manual download in the stickies don't you? If you prefer not to get your computer greasy there is my go to, the printed version.

https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...ervice-manuals

Since you are a customer of Oregon injection you must live close to Eugene? So does one of our other members, who I see almost every time I go to visit my grandkids in Salem.

97 3500, 2 WD, G56, slightly bombed, 1.3 million miles. Started the second million on 8/24/13
If you are lucky enough to be in Texas, you are lucky enough.

Last time they adjusted it they said they might not be able to adjust it again. Said my pump might have to be rebuilt? It starts up immediately and runs great. Has 337,000 miles and the motor sounds better then my 2004 that has 124,000.
FYI...I had heard that about OFI-took my daughters TDI to them for an IP and injectors rebuild-My experience was "less than stellar"
I see you are in Oregon, so guessing you are close (so am I) PM me if you want to talk shop

I also have not heard great things about OFI, glad to see other Oregonians on here, everyone seems to be Canadian or from back east
