Stock 5 x 0.0105 are good up to 500hp with dual turbos and 055 delivery valves.
I went 5 x 0.011, could have saved $300.
Your signature does not indicate auto or standard tranny, gauges and tranny first, power second, after the motor runs that is.
60 lb springs are only for revving past 3,000 rpm, got money to spend? Turbo good for that high rpm? Match up your parts.

He said he put a new Valair clutch in it, that would make it a manual trans.
5x.010 inj would be a good choice
With a teenager driving it I'd go with 3k gsk instead of 4k, the small spring can always be added later.
I'd replace the wh1 with a hx35.
A #10 fuel plate is a nice small upgrade, I'd put it in the stock position to start with.
egt, boost and fuel pressure gauges are considered must have item for these engines.

160/175 engines used 5x.009 inj, 215 engine had 5x.010 inj
5x.010 is one step up on a 160/175 engine

finally got block and head back from machine shop. block bored .020 over bearings std size and crank polished. had to replace 2 intake valves and one exhaust. head was also surfaced. just ordered overhaul kit and other parts. I found a new cartridge for the turbo so I'm gonna do that myself and save some money. update when parts arrive and start assembly.

95 2500 2wd reg cab. 5 speed valair clutch. fuel, pyro and boost gauges in pillar pod. rebuilt front end. engine rebuilt at 337400. 5x10sac, 4kgsk, 4" diamond eye exhaust. 16.5 pt.

Lack of coolant wont cause heavy black smoke nor melt a piston. Fuel will.

Also exactly why for performance/ or performance longevity would they bore #6 bigger . How would that make it last longer . besides you would have an unbalanced engine at that point

Heat causes expansion, increased clearances allow for greater expansion.
Not saying that increased tolerances are needed for #6 on a street motor.
Have you determined what caused the engine failure and have you made the correction(s)?

had a bunch of family health issues come up. waiting to see all the bills before I start the rebuild. I'm changing injectors and not gonna pay to have old ones tested. will have to see if radiator is bad, will install new hoses. not sure if ill ever know for sure what happened. all I know is there was less than a couple ounces of coolant in engine when I tore it down. my son was driving so not sure exactly what happened or when. not sure he really knows [ computer nerd ] he never was interested in working on cars or trucks. how ever he gets out of school in march and his first job will pay more than what I'm making so I guess I did ok. if I find any answers ill update.

well finally found time to put the motor back together. cylinders were bored .020 over. new pistons rings and bearings. seals and gaskets, replaced oil cooler oil pump and water pump. took care of the dowel pin. advanced the pump timing to 16.5 and installed 5x10sac injectors. added 60lbs valve springs and 4k gsk. installed a new cartridge in turbo and 4" exhaust. fired up on second crank and is running great. I was nervous on start up being this is my first 12 valve and playing with pump timing and gsk. the radiator had a few small leaks and that's why there was no coolant when I tore it down. replaced the radiator and have got almost 400 miles on it. haven't given it to many rpms yet but what a difference. after I get a few more miles on it ill try and tune it a little with pre boost and star wheel, however I'm very happy how she is running right now.
