95 Low Power

I recently bought a 95 2500 and wanted to give it some more power. I put a 4in exhaust on it and bought some gauges. I put a #0 fuel plate slide all the way forward as well as the AFC housing. I am only making 11lbs of boost and the egts only hit about 700. No power gain noticed and no black smoke to indicate just some blue smoke. Smells like raw fuel. Any ideas? Truck has 200k.

Sounds like a fuel issue.

Back of the Injection pump theres 2 air lines. One goes across the engine, over the exhaust and down to the waste gate. The other goes across to the intake plenum. This is the AFC reference for the Injection pump, it tells the Injection pump how much boost is being made, and adds fuel accordingly. If this is broken not only will it be a boost leak, but the IP will never get the signal to add more fuel.

Also make sure the air filter clean is up to spec (big enough for the engine), fuel filter, and prescreen is clean as well.

Make sure the throttle linkage is allowing full throttle as well.

If all those checks out look into the low pressure fuel system and add a gauge.
