I have 94 12 valve auto and it sounds like it's loping at idle in gear I bought this truck and it sounded like that and the owner that had it before me didn't know what was done to it. From what I know it has a smending 66mm turbo just got rebuilt by North American turbo, 47re trans, suncoast triple disk torque converter, trac bars and that's about all I know from the receipts I dug up at shops around my local area . Havelock nc. But back to my original post could anything make it sound like it's loping but it's really not designed to do that?

You could have some pump mods that are causing it to lope
I was doing some research on GSK and it seems like the 5k governor spring kit will make the truck lope and could some times cause the truck to die once putting it in gear or coming to a stop

Also I found out that if the injector lines are to big it will lope as well like the .093 lines I believe and the .12 lines
I could be a little off on those numbers

And I'm not claiming that's the problem just stating what I've read on the forum in my research

Yeah I'll have to look into it, the guys that owned before really we're confused to what was done to it, and there was a lot of miss communication between them, so I want to get it all figured out before something goes wrong! Do you think either one of those could cause problems

On causing problems I'm not sure
I don't think it will but that's for someone with real life experience on them
Now on the 5k spring kit if you tune it right it will stop the lope
The fuel lines won't hurt anything but they are more for competition use more than a daily driver
Like drag racing and pulling trucks

On the 5k kit I also read that certain kits will
Lope but others will not but if you do a quick search on them and find someone who sells them in the description of the product some will say that it may lope or die after installing the kit

Advanced timing and a 4 or 5k gsk can do that depending on how the governor was set up. If the springs were set tight it will fuel harder up top with the trade off being a less stable idle. And to answer the other question non of those things are bad or will hurt it. Research some of the pump mods and you will get a better description.

My truck lopes in gear at idle mostly just when cold but the truck won't die. Really just depends on if it bugs you or not honestly.

Thank you guys, found out the timing is advanced, the fuel is turned up, the fuel lines are bigger, 150hp exergy injectors with 10% nozzles. I believe someone was going to drag this truck. Along with the suncoast triple disk torque converter and the 66mm smending turbo. Do you have any advice that could help me make this truck a little more daily then a drag truck? Also my hvac floor vent today started leaking water, didn't smell or look like coolant? Is this a clogged drain . I've looked into it and it seems like the two options is a bad heater core or clogged drain?

Are the fuel lines bigger or injector lines?
You could go with smaller injectors and take the pump tuning down a little
If you don't have a fuel plate in you can put one back in and adjust how you want

Get rid of the oversize injection lines, all they do is retard the timing on a street truck. Trade the 66mm charger for either a smaller single or a set of twins, that 66 is a slow spooling turbo stop light to stop light.

I might go with trying to trade the turbo for a smaller turbo it builds some pretty good boost but a little late for what I was expecting

If you have over sized injector lines I might be interested in them depending on what size they are
