Best location to take boost reading?

Hi. I need to install my boost sensor for my gauge, and it looks like I can install it in one of two different locations:
  1. In the flat aluminum intake plate that bolts to the cylinder head (where the old intake air temp sensor used to be)
  2. In the port on the back of my Pusher intake.

Any recommendations? Does it make any difference?

This is a '94 12V if that makes a difference.

There is a third option, there is a 1/8 npt port in the plenum next to the Injection pump you can use. That's where many, including myself have there's installed.

I'd choose whichever is easiest, and whichever is most out of the way for doing common tasks like changing filters, pulling injector lines, and such.

The intake horn will have slightly less pulsating, though that really isn't of much concern.

I've had mine in a couple places, Tee'd into the AFC line was definitely the smoothest/steadiest reading, at the inlet of cylinder #6 was among the worst.

regardless of where you put it, you won't see over a psi of difference either way.
