What are your turbo options when you've outgrown the stock hx35 12cm2 turbo, but have a turbo mounted exhaust brake that you really like and want to Keep. Looking to make 450hp but not quite there yet. Current small turbo housing is choking on hard pulls and make egts to high even with moving plate back to fairly mild settings. (about 1/8" from full forward) Use this truck mainly for towing.

97 2500 excab 6spd 4x4:intake,4" exhaust,60lb vlv, 4kgsk, afc kit,gauges,#10 plate,16* timing,62/65/13 ss turbo,kdp tab,tranny filter-- SDX II injectors,Valair 13" DD organic.

62/65

You can do it with digital calipers and a steady hand.

Put the tips of the blades on the flat part of the caliper jaws, two blade tips on one jaw and one blade tip on the other jaw. Then slowly turn the wheel so the two tips pass over the jaw surface. It's a little like setting a gap or lashing solid lifters: feel for a light drag. When the jaws stop moving/opening, that's your diameter... Give or take a few ten-thousandths (0.1-0.3mm). Good for a ball park figure but I wouldn't be building any engines by that standard of measuring.

2006 3500 QcDrw, Laramie, 4wd, 8" on 22.5's and super singles, blow thru with 3x 12's, soundstream, MBrp 5", diy s&b intake, ejwa cts2 + hptuners, torque diesel s1 inj, fass hd150 & 8AN, WW2.

i think your horsepower ratings for turbos are a tad off... my hybrid 40... 62/71/16 wont clear up my smoke with 40lbs+ of boost and im not anywhere near 550hp... no matter how much id like that it just isnt true...
