Best streetable 4K springs?

The price on gov springs varies quite a bit, you can get “off brand” for as low as 40 bucks all the way to premium PDD at 250.... I’m looking for good street manners and idle quality. Sorry if it’s a newb question but I’m new to the p pump world. Before you tell me to use the search engine all I could find was the issues people have with pac-brake springs.

Call Seth Farrell. Last I ordered from him the set was a little over 100. They were drop in. No machining required.

PDD Budget Builders for life. Installed a couple sets of springs and the budget builders just seem to always drop in and idle good. as opposed to others that needed some TLC. just my experience though, and I can't say I've installed every set out there.

Ive installed pac brake and DAP's brand. If you have an auto trans, I really dont think it matters. If Seth has a set for $100 you couldnt go wrong.

I've only ever installed one set of governor springs, but they went off without a hitch. They installed fine, no weird or weak idle, they just work like they're suppose to. I suppose I just got lucky, but I got mine from a Canadian seller on amazon by the name of DieselTuff.

Why is that? Touchy throttle? You could try playing with the preload on the springs to see if you can tune it out. But mine is auto so won’t have those issues.

True you will not in an auto.

In a manual the " solidness " of the driveline ( no slippy converter to dampen anything ) combined with the 4k springs touchy throttle , bumpy ride and rear spring wrap/un wrap can give the truck a " bucking boot scoot'n boogey " at times even driving normally ( im olden ) . Nothing one can do , but cease what you are doing and start over .
Just life with 4k springs , other mods and a manual. Not a huge deal .

I'm curious what you mean by this too. I have 4k springs with a 5 speed running a single clutch and the truck drives great. The governor springs actually made it easier to drive because 4th gear (in an NV4500 anyway) is now useful when merging onto the interstate, whereas before the truck would just nose over at 2200rpm causing a short shift into 5th and dropping off the turbo.

What does "get ignorant" mean?? And does having a dual disk clutch somehow affect this ignorance?

.
.
Edit: Sorry, I was typing the above reply at the same time your were and your answer got posted before mine. My truck doesn't exhibit the issues you're talking about. And it should spring wrap easier than a stock truck considering it's lifted with blocks in the back.
If you have the time and inclination , you could try adjusting the springs a click or two looser to see if that helps with the touchy throttle.
