Interior redo with Chevy console, and Geno's seat foam

So recently I got tired of the stock center console with the aftermarket plastic cup holders. Because if I put a cup in them, the cup would get in the way of shifting gears.

So I decided to throw a 2014- 2018 Chevy silverado center console in it.

But then I still had a driver seat bottom that looked like this to go along with my new console.

But I didn't want to spend good money covering up the twenty year old driver seat foam, so Geno's to the rescue..

A quick trip down to my local veteran owned trim and upholstery shop to get the 90's knocked out of the truck . Seriously , who thought the little yellow and red dots in the gray fabric was a good idea.

Also had them do the headliner, sun visors and door fabric inserts while I was there. For whatever reason my black exterior and gray interior truck, had a tan/ brown headliner stock, so now its black like it should've always been.

The only negative (and it might not really be a negative after i get used to it) is that the new Geno's set foam is a LOT thicker than my old broken down one and now I sit a LOT higher in the truck.
Like I had to readjust both outside mirrors and the steering wheel tilt setting from where I've always had them up some, its a noticeable difference.

I'll guess I'll just have to get used to driving the truck again , but now my knee is hitting the back of the steering wheel when coming off the clutch and that never used to happen before. Maybe the new foam will settle in after a little bit , or I'll figure out a way to adjust my clutch foot position (sure wish the Dodge had a telescopic adjustment on the steering column , that would fix everything)

Oh yeah, I had the back seat done as well just to match everything. The stock back seat was actually in pretty good shape for its age , but I had them recover it anyway.

Nice job!

My drivers seat cushion will need to be replaced soon. Seems like Geno’s is the way to go.

Definitely looks better. I have foam and a cover sitting in the Geno's shopping cart along with some other things I want to get. Really like your console swap.

I paid them $800 in cash for everything (tax included. $800 was out the door total). I did provide the Geno's cushion to them though.

Lots of small, privately owned, local type businesses will discount there prices pretty good if you walk in with green folding money. The credit card companies/ banks really do kinda stick it to the little guys with fee's and if you pay with cash, they can get around some of those fees.

After the upholstery shop, cushion, and center console costs, I probably have about $1200-1300 total in my interior redo. Hopefully the interior will be go-to-go for another twenty years now.....Well, maybe I'll do something with carpet before another twenty years passes, but that should be it.
