Well folks, looking like a head gasket is in order.
Overheated and sitting on the road in Lincoln City Oregon.
If anybody knows a quality cummins mechanic that may be able to take on this job please either post up or message me.
I don’t know who they are. (Edit - tracked them down in Clackamas and called/left message)
i am traveling and am in Lincoln city right now, I have my 5er with me so other than having to move it and put it i a RV park while the truck is getting fixed I can manage.
I am at the moment looking at using Peterson’s https://www.petersontrucks.com/welcome
They are auth Cummins and seemingly are a medium and heavy duty truck place (also sell international), so I am hopimg they will be good.
That said, If anybody has any suggestions, please let me know.
Unless you get lucky and find another independently verified reputable diesel mechanic in Lincoln City, I would say it would be worth your time to wait to talk to the guys at Source in Clackamas... They are less then 2 hours away from you and you can be assured that they will do you and your truck right.
