92 12v overdrive issues

So I have this truck for about two years now and I've been trying to fix my overdrive, Its a 92 D-250. I haven't yet adjusted my tps sensor. I bought 2 new O/D Solonoids and neither one of them fixed it. I recently just bought a tps delete kit off of DNR Customs and it also did not work. I've been reading about a OVERDRIVE LOCKUP SWITCH? Is the 46rh capable of having this wired up. I'm 17 and would really like some help!! And one other thing My speedometer and Message Center do not work anymore, one day driving they just turned off and haven't came back on sense. ANY HELP IS GREAT

That trans has no LU on it you'll have to get a 47 rh or re to have that.

Have you ever cleaned the grounds and both ends of the battery cables?

You could have a bad wire going to the OD solenoid.

You put OVERDRIVE LOCKUP SWITCH so I was thinking of Torque converter lockup, so disregard the LU comment I made. Most just say overdrive switch so it made me think of the other.

How about the other ends of the battery cables are they clean? What about the engine to firewall ground strap is it clean?

Your pcm is most likely dead. Read the sticky on how to decomputerize your truck. All you have to do for overdrive is to ground the circuit with a switch. Personally I have a headlight dimmer on the floor wired up for this.

There's a thread around here that discusses working around most of the issues that the PCM takes care of.

I just noticed you said your speedometer doesn't work so that could be why you don't have OD. Your best fix for your OD would be a adjustable Hobbs switch, alot of info on that fix if you was to GOOGLE it.
