Third gen turbocharger

Good evening all! I’m in the process of doing a build on my first generation cummins and i was curious if anyone has ever used a turbo off of a third gen cummins? The turbo i am looking at from a buddy is the hc351 wc i believe and it’s got an electronic waste gate.. my questions are... is this a decent upgrade? How do i get rid of the waste gate? And what kinda power can be made with this particular charger? Currently my truck is bone stock until next weekend, i will then be maxing the VE pump out as much as i can and putting DDP stage 3 injectors in it with a 3,200 gov spring and fuel pin also from DDP.

Quick spool and more flow than stock. Good for about 350HP. needs new downpipe or adapter, clocking the turbo, blocking of the solenoid port, spring gate for use as new actuator, and intercooler boots/piping to make it work.

if the turbo is not free or close to it you may consider buying a new turbo as installation will be easier.
