Boost #s with arp head studs and 60 lbs valve springs

Ive already posted on the DTR 1st gen forum but does anyone have any idea how much boost I could safely run with a fresh head gasket, arp 425s (I think theyre called), and 60 lb valve springs?

As much as you will realistically produce with a ve 12v. Dont get so wrapped up in boost numbers, worry more about power, egt and exhaust smoke. What turbo/turbos are you running? What fuel mods?

I ran 40psi (not very often, seen 35 frequently though) on stock head bolts/gasket but I was tame with the timing compared to some. This was with he351cw.

My plan was to run 5x.016 or .018 injector nozzles, 60lbs springs, a borg Warner s362, and pusher intakes intercooler piping and cold air intake, and arp 425s, EGT’s aren’t really an issue, the most I’ve ever seen was 1150 climbing an extremely steep hill at an undisclosed speed but I rarely ever see over 1000 pre turbo, and we don’t have emissions laws in Kansas so a little smoke isn’t really an issue unless there is a cop in a bad mood but in that case I’ll probably see them before they see me and I’ll just keep my right foot in check

Question has been asked a million times, and there's not an answer.

What is your concern anyway?

Indeed there isnt. My mess did 50psi boost, 73psi drive pressure, and 13-1400*egts with stock head bolts, and stock valve springs without any issues. Only reason I say did is I toasted the trans, and by the time I get it back on the road it might have a different setup on it.

Boost does not blow head gaskets, cylinder pressure does. Think about it, how can an extra 20 or 30 pounds of pressure added to the cylinder going to influence the 2000 psi or more that is created when the fuel ignites? It is advanced timing that creates the pressure necessary to blow a HG. As long as you keep timing reasonable you can push 100 psi of boost into the intake manifold.

I've pushed my 62 SXE hard... Too hard... 60 PSI hard.
I don't want to know what drive pressure was. Lol
