Compound turbos

Hey everyone, new to the forum posting. So I have a 91 Non- intercooled VE. Have a Hx351 turbo, pod injectors, 60 lbs valve springs and my pump is maxed out is a DennyT Fuel pin and a 3200 governor spring. So I’m want to do some upgrades and I have a good handle on all that I want to do but compound turbos. I want to run compounds with My HX351 and Ht3b combo. But the it kinda blowing my mind I really don’t grasp how to properly tie them in and waste hate them. I’m a welder by trade so I’m not worried about making the piping. Can someone help me grasp this concept a little better. Like how to tie in the turbos and where my waste gates should be.

You donít need to add any wastegates, just set the one on your little turbo to around 20psi to start with. If you havenít bought the ht3b yet Iíd get something that isnít 40 year old technology.

Routing is simple. Exhaust manifold goes into little turbo, pipe goes between little turbo outlet, and big turbo inlet. Big turbo outlet goes to tailpipe. On the intake filter mounts to big turbo inlet, pipe goes between big turbo outlet, and little turbo inlet. Little turbo outlet goes to engine.

Ain’t that the truth. Last time I pulled my setup apart it took me about 30 minutes to pull everything but the downpipe out.
