1993 12V Ramcharger Conversion

Well guys a lot has happened in the last few months... I have a thread going on the perf parts page for my race truck...that project has been parked for the next year. Plans are to build a new engine ( 12V short block-24V head modded-P-Pump 1000HP ) for 2014 season. Planning a few more tricks for the truck chassis too.
Anyway....with that one parked I really started twitching to start another project...I have been dreaming about a 12V Ramcharger Street Sleeper for a couple of years now. Last year I found a super clean 93 Ramcharger full load write off and a solid 91.5 W250 donor. Both trucks are 2WD Auto's. I started stripping and documenting both last year. I ended up moving shops, having a few changes in plans and welcomed a new mouth to feed last night! So things have slowed down on the project but haven't stopped.
I stripped both trucks last year for the damage on the Charger and pulled the 12V from the donor. I was a little concerned about the commonality of the parts and conversion issues. I wanted to post this thread as I hope you guys enjoy the final outcome of my dream project, but also get to see how easy this can be with these trucks with close model years.
So the engine and trans are in and test fired.
So far this swap has been a bolt in deal! I am amazed at how common these trucks are with such different backgrounds and body types. My end goal is a fun little 400hp street sleeper that is de-badged...clean looking...lo pro stance....family fun cruiser that people will look at and go...." that 318 sounds a little loud??" I will post pics of the project as I go and hopefully at the end of it all it turns out like my mental picture. I definitely welcome comments and criticisms on this guys as some of you have followed my race truck build and have created such a positive response.

You might want to use the suspension out of the pickup too. The 1/2 ton axle won't take the torque and the front springs won't take the weight.

Thanks guys! I actually want to run the 1/2 ton suspension and diff. It's got an open Corporate 9 1/4 with 3.23 gears. I run full 1/2 ton suspension in my race truck with an 8 3/4 with 3.23's and that combo is handling over 700 hp with 20 psi boosted launches quite well. I will add a locker to help with traction. I have an idea it will take it and ride like a caddy. If not and things start to give grief I still have the front end out of the donor. So far it has a near stock stance. It's part of my think outside the box and what the hell try it mentality!!

So far the engine bolted into the factory mounts and location. The trans mounted up to the factory 318 x-member which I laid beside the 3/4 ton unit and they are identical, the donor wiring harness plugged right into the charger firewall plug and engine started on the key, the trans linkage bolted up, the 318 driveshaft plugged right into the donor trans and mounted back up the diff perfectly, the trans and engine clear the cab, starter clears, and I bought a 4 inch 1st gen downpipe which fits perfectly, and so far it has been like this---plug and play. See how far the assembly goes before any modding is required......

I've got a really good friend here that wants to do the same...I told him to follow along the Doomsday Diesel that DP magazine is building....and when he gets ready I will give him a hand....he started out trying to put a 12V in an old Cherokee but his shop burnt down and lost drive on the project. So a burban is up next for him
