You need to use one or the other. Nice job on the foam clearancing idea, I'm going the other direction and turning my club into a crew to gain added space!

I used the same seatbelts. She was happy about them. Then went on to say that I need to stop spending money on the truck. Yeahhhhh right haha

I want a crew so bad

Just tell her it's cheaper than buying a $70,000 2017 truck and cooler!

Nice job with the install, those look comfy.

Super comfy. It's nice not sinking 3 inches into the old bench seat. Truck doesn't seem as bouncy anymore either, not sitting on a trampoline.

Update: I drove about 400 miles this week with the seats. They are great, but I did find a little room for improvement. I wanted just one more click on the recline so I took the seat back out. While this looks a little barbaric, it worked. I took a hack saw and cut some relief cuts and took a hammer and hit down the cross supports to give me about another 1/2" of room which allowed me to get just a little bit more recline. Works great. I'm done.

I just mounted 4th gen seats in my truck last weekend, do you mind if I throw some pics up of how I did it? I used the old bench brackets and some angle iron.

For search challenged folks such as myself, would be great to have all the info in one thread.
