Thumbs up Cab Light Install On 08!!!!

my wonderful girlfriend bought me the amber cab lights from dodge for my birthday and put them in today tell me what you guys think! i'll put more pics up of the truck from distance lol.. o yeah the kit from the dodge dealership was $80

Kit includes:
5 amber light housings w/seal
5 bulbs
wiring harness
2 zip ties
metal soldier cap
1 set of HORRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS lol
1 stensil
10 screw holsters

What you need:
1/4" drill bit
7/8" drill bit
wire connecters/soldiering gun
wire cutters/splicers
screwdrivers Philips/flathead
sockets/torx heads..... T45 and a real small one
drill
punch
hammer
pliers

steps:
take out pillars/ overhead/ headliner
cut stensil (triangle on e/a side and slits down the line the arrow points to (assures curvature of roof of the truck)
align stensil
use punch to make indents so drill bit is aligned
drill 1/4" holes (10) (light mounts)
dril 7/8" holes (5) (lights/wires will go through these)
put wiring through the holes that you drilled
connect to the amber lights
put screw holsters in e/a 1/4" hole drilled
scew on the lights to cab (use pliers if you have to!)
ground the ground wire to cab on roof crossmember (i grounded mine to a gnd that went to my guages cus it was easier)
run power over down through A pillar down through the dash/firewall then behind mastercylynder and battery.
take your fuse box off
3d plug down (back of fuse box) second wire to the left (gry/white) (headlamp switch)
soldier or splice power into this wire
check and make sure it works.....
PUT IT BACK TOGETHER!!!

Nice install. Did you add some RTV around those holes? I recall seeing some reports of leaks. I'm considering installing a set as well. I'll for sure seal them up.

Man, I was nervous enough on my '01 !

Did they move the screw position again? On the 2nd gens they were on the left and right of the light, on the early 3rd gens they were in the front/back of the light and now it looks like they went back to the left/right again, Make up your mind Dodge.
