Factory 20s With Spacers

I just got a 2019 2500 Mega cab Laramie. It has the stock 20x8 wheels and I wanted to get a little better stance. I like the look of the wheels, and I was thinking about putting some spacers on. I also plan to put on some 35x12.50s when I do it. I just don't know much about spacers.

What size can I use? I'd like to go 1.5 to 2"
Do I need to trim wheel studs? I hope not.
Lug Centric or hub centric?

2" is a common size and at that width you wont need to trim lugs. Your factory wheels are actually both hub and lug centric. I would order a set of spacers that are machined to be hub centric. That way you keep both. Quality bolt on spacers are fine as long as you are not towing heavy with them.

If you go with 2” spacers you will have to trim the pinch weld with a 35x12.5. I personally would not put a 12.5 on a 8” wheel.
Better would be a 295/65r20 which is taller then a 35” and still around 11.75” wide. A 35x11.5” would also work well. The metric size will have a higher load capacity but smaller tread depth.
