4500 vs 5500

2019/2020 Is the only difference between 4500 and 5500 the rear spring pack ? I see on a 4500 you can get 4.10 rear end where 5500 you cannot.
Any ride quality difference between the two. Have driven a 5500 and yes it rides like a rock unloaded. Is the 4500 the same.

4500 vs 5500

You can get 4.89 on the rear of a 5500. Maybe the 4.10 gears are stock for a 5500. I ordered mine with 4.89.

With 4.89 what are you rpm wise at 65. Or do you not have your truck yet

I would bet with 19.5 rims the 4.89 gears will run like 4.10 gears in 17s or pretty darn close.

The stock tires are 31" tall. The 5500 has a rear stabilizer bar and the 4500 does not.

My local dealer had a 4500 and 5500. 4500 had 10 leaf pack. 5500 had 11
Both had rear stabilizers. The 4500 just wasnít as big in diameter

With a lower GVWR (I'm guessing) and one less leaf in the spring pack, a 4500 has to ride better.
Not good, but better.

Then again, a 5500 with correct tire pressure for running empty will most likely ride better than a 4500 with a higher pressure.

Maybe if we start telling people that the brain is an app, they will start using it?
