How rowdy did you have to trim to fit those 38s?
Also how wide are they?
I haven't cycled the 38s yet. I'll get time one of these days. Running the Carli long arms means 4.5" backspace wheels so I trimmed for 37s and this barely rubs so far but will definitely need more.

You trim the hell out of it, lol. I am running 38x13.5 tires with 4.56 gears and turn 2K at 70mph almost exactly.

How do you like the Thuren overland shocks?

I'm going to remove the 5" rough country lift off my mega and go back down to a 3" lift. I'm really considering the overland system. It's not as wild as my old Quad cab with the Carli Pin top setup but looks like it will handle the type of offroading i'm doing easily.

GlowNdark, how long have you had the rough country lift on and for a daily that only goes off road to boat ramps would you recommend it?

I bought this Megacab with the Rough country lift already on it. I had a quad cab with a full Carli pintop kit and 37x12.50r17's on it so there is no comparison in the ride department.

For an inexpensive lift, it rides decent. I'm sure it's going to ride better once I get rid of the 35"s on 22"s that it currently has on it.

I have the 3” overland shocks and springs, control arms, end links and shackles all the way up with Toyo A/T 35/12.5/17. The ride is INCREDIBLE over stock - solid and soft. I am very pleased with the set up

Good deal, yea I can't justify the Carli lift for what my truck is used for. And the only time it sees dirt is when I put the boat in at an old lake stuck in the cow pasture so I want more lift.

Compared to a stock truck, mine rides stiffer but i'm 100% sure that is due to the tires/wheels on it. If I had some more sidewall I would be it rides as good as a stock truck. It's just taller.

Awesome, thanks man! I'm thinking the Overland setup with shackles, control arms and end links is the way i'm going to go to bring my truck back down a bit. And then later on I can add Fox or King shocks if I feel like I need it.

gotta say the 3" overland kit with their ca's, trackbar, lt leafs/shackles and those infamous white shocks is a very very nice ride. should mention no sway bar.
