Replacement Shock While Waiting For Carli King Repair?

I have a 2.5 Carli King that leaks from the fitting that goes from the shock body to the reservoir hose.
It leaked when new,but I tightened the fitting it appeared to fix the issue but 4 months later I see that it has been leaking.
The turn around from King is a month,so I need a replacement shock.
I have a 1" Thuren coil lift, but I may go to a Carli 2.5 coil in the future.I am thinking of getting a Bilstein to run while waiting for the shock to be repaired,I am not sure of the best length to buy.
Will the longer shock compress enough to fit the truck at the current height?
Or,should I buy the shorter shock and use a shock extension if and when I go to a higher lift?

Call Thuren and they have the Spec number for Bilstein shock for the Application. It is Spec'd for their Travel Length. I believe this is it. 24-185776 for the Front Shock.

Just buy a pair of Thuren's Overland shocks for your temporaries. They work with his coils. They can also work with Carli 2.5 lift springs in the future. They are cheap enough and good enough until your King shock gets fixed. I ran used Overlands while waiting for my Kings and they were fine.

Then you have back-up shocks for the future, if ever needed.
