4WD hubs not disengaging

Lately when I use the 4WD the hubs are not disengaging. I've tried backing up, and stopping but they just seem to stay hung. Sorry if this is redundant I don't use this very often. Thank you

I had that same sensation last year - wheels chirping and the steering wheel jerking while turning corners on pavement. I knew that the RAM didn't have selectable hubs, so I thought it might have been the transfer case.

The culprits turned out to be BOTH front end u-joints. the dealer noted that they were faulty and replaced them both under warranty.

best of luck.
