Adding 2nd alternator to 2500?

So Im starting my stereo build and need to add a second alternator.

I currently have the 220A alt and am going to have another hi output mechman built.

I know that the 3500s have an option for two alternators, would it be as simple as getting the bracket and additional belt? Hopefully? I need 450+ amps to safely power my planned system. I already ordered new batteries for under the hood, and i have batteries left over from my stereo build from my 1500 so once the alt issue is figured out itll be time to start fiberglassin and wiring up!

450 is soft. Id really like 500 but i dont see that happening without a 3rd Alt. Let me just say this that I am a die hard audio guy, so im going to be spending more on my audio than most people will on their lift. And I want to get the stereo in before i lift it because lifting a box in and out of a truck with an 8" lift is no fun.

Subs - DC Audio 15" XLm2s (2200 RMS)
A Pillor - RF T142 (2 way full range)
Front door - RF T2652-S ( 2 way full range)
Back door - RF PPS4-6 (6" midrange)
Back door - RF T2652-S (2 way full range)

Amps
DC Audio 5K @ 1Ohm
RF 400-4 (Front)
RF T600-4 (Rear)

Thats 6K total watts. I would like 500A and a battery bank but i think im going to settle for in the 450A MAYBE i can talk mechman into building me a 270A to make for a total of 490A.

Thats the stereo plan at least lol

Yes a Kenwood DNN990HD.

Will also have 2 XS Power D2700 for under the hood batteries and 4 D3000 in a battery bank under the truck. Using XS Flex CCA 1/0 for the "big 3" and all power ground wires and ToolMakers MetalWorkz dual 1/0 to 1/0 and 1/0 to 4 input adapters.

RF premium RCAs for all three amps with RF fuse holders
RF 12g speaker wire for mids and components
XS Flex 4g wire to the subs

Using an SMD-DD1 and SMD-CC1 to set it all up all the gains and crossovers

Also the truck is already 90% covered in a ton of Second Skin products. Damplifier on the firewall, floor, roof, back wall. Heatwave pro on the firewall and roof. Luxury liner in the doors. Ill have to see how the truck sounds audio wise and outside noise wise. Im sure that will be enough sound deadener but i have backups just incase. Mud tires and big turbos/5" TBE are loud and i want this thing to be quieter than stock if possible. On my 1500 with my Toyo MTs and long tubes and straight pipe the inside of the truck was dead quiet so im trying to duplicate that sound quality. The second skin with a bunch of 3M window tint keeps the truck insanely cool too

Wow...I didn't know there was such a thing as what you're planning. But honestly audio's pretty much the bottom of my list. Good luck

After talking to mechman today we decided that getting the 2nd alt on should be as easy as getting the 3500 bracket and theyre going to build me one of the "elite" series alts with a microscopic pulley that makes 370A at 2K RPM and just shy of 300A at 1K RPM. We figure paired with the stock 220A alt and a big battery bank i shouldnt have a problem. Im going to order the dodge parts on monday. Ill update this thread when the mayhem begins. ITs going to be a lot of fiberglassing and MDF in my future!

This sound system sounds badass. Just a little more RMS Wattage than the last system I built.
