My previous 12 valver, 06 5.9, JD 510 backhoe, International bucket truck with DT466, all stay clean for a while, cant say it's nearly 4000 miles but the 6.7 turns black instantly. Just not a good feeling. Still wondering if having the erg (just unplugged) is still letting exhaust in to the intake. I have the dpf deleted.

Diesels soot load their oil normally anyway, but the 6.7 with EGR and DPF makes it worse.

EGR/EGR cooler/ DPF. These are what you need to get rid of to stop extra soot and from adding fuel to the crankcase during regen.

this might be a stupid question but what exactly are "deletes" and the DPF? Am i able to do the "deletes" or do I need to take the truck to a shop? What exactly do the "deletes" do and will it void the factory warranty?

The 4th emission injector event is what gets the fuel and oil dirty. Ya the EGR doesn't help, same for the DPF.

Dirty oil occurs when your running big injectors, the oil got dirty pretty fast. The 6.7CR when deleted, stock injectors, stock programmer mode, the oil will stay clean for the 7500 miles. My older 02 truck, was the same way, stock.

black, 10 3500 CTD CCSB Laramie, black maxx
Silver, 16 1500 Chevy Shiverado, 5.3L bone stock for now
