New turbo still have exhaust brake issues

I replaced the stick turbo on my deleted 11 because a clip broke and jammed up the nozzle ring. Everything was working good until that happened. I replaced it with a modified he351ve 67/67. For some reason I canít get the exhaust brake to work correctly. If Iím going down a hill with the exhaust brake on it will kick in like it should but you accelerate and it will not kick out. The only way to get it off is to come down to 25-30 mph and it kicks out on its own. Even if you push the button it wonít go off. The other issue Iím having is if you are under hard acceleration with the exhaust brake off it will just kick itís self on while your are accelerating. Any ideas? I have replaced the maf sensor. And recalibrated the vgt actuator 4 or 5 times.

Sounds like the vgt is sticking. Either bad turbo or bad actuator.

Itís a brand new turbo so Iím sure itís not sooted up. Not totally sure if itís a actuator or not because it worked fine on the stock turbo when I took it apart. Is their a way to run a true test on the actuator?

Well first I used my factory actuator and calibrated it with my snapon scanner. After a few days of having problems with it and redoing the calibrating a few times even though it passed every time. I bought another actuator off of someone that tested good and stuck it on. And still have the same problem. The turbo builder said they had one doing that and it was the maf sensor. So I replaced that still no change.

There is a way but the tool. Is about a $1000.
Have you tried reloading the delete tune? The more info I hear the more it sounds like the tune is messing it up. You may also need a different tune for the turbo, as well, to adjust for the different air flow.
Also, how old are the batteries? If they are old and one has a bad cell, the truck will start and run but you will have all kinds of odd stuff happening.

What tool can you use to test? Iím using a snapon to calabrate. I have reloaded the tune once. The batteries were replaced over the summer and I load tested them when I started having this issue. Hoping I can find something out. Been without a truck since sept.

So I just plugged in my snap on scanner and looked at the live data. When I go to exhaust pressure it shows 0 no matter if I rev it up or not. I then took a meter and checked at the sensor. One wire has 5 volts one is ground and the other is return to the pcm. Truck running in warm up mode and high idle I had 3.1 volts return to the pcm.

Do you get normal boost under acceleration? Wouldnt be the first time an exhaust pressure sensor went bad without throwing a code.

I unplugged the actuator and drove it around for about 30 min or so went to a few lumber yards so it went through a few key cycles and never popped up any cel I was think it would show something. I thought it would at least show a actuator code with it unplugged.
