Your hard shifting could definitely be clutch or hydraulic related. If you call Valair and tell them how you use your truck they’ll recommend the perfect clutch for your needs, they’re good people with good customer service. As stated for a normal driven DD/tow rig the organic dual disc is tough to beat. Engagement is smooth as is backing a load up

When I had my 2010 3500 with the g56 I used what Mercedes-Benz recommended not what dodge recommended or what all the internet experts say to use no gorilla juice or like fluids Mercedes-Benz spec# is 235.4 or 235.41 and fluid weight is recommended by temperature region where the vehicle is being used. I used castrol syntrans 75w85 for 185k worked great with no gear rollover noise no hard shifting when cold this is what the transmission should have shipped with from the factory.

Where'd you pick up the Syntrans at? I want to compare it to the Mobil and Penzoil stuff, but quick internet searches comes up with nothing but Australia and New Zealand links.
