2010+ g56 reliability?

hey guys, I have been shopping around for a 2010 6.7, and came across a cc/sb with the g56 manual trans. few questions. how reliable are these trannies at the 500hp + level? ( with a south bend clutch )
secondly, at what horsepower level will swapping a nv5600 be more reliable?
Thanks folks.

I've got a 2010 with the g56 and the 3250 South Bend. Don't know how much hp I'm making but I've got 100hp nozzles, 464 turbo, lift pump, EFILIVE, etc. I'm probably around 500hp. I have the g56 filled with Royal Purple Syncromax and an extra quart of Lucas oil. I tow 8 tons regularly with no issues. I don't ever beat on it either.

2010 lotta extras

The trans will live as long as you allow. Be that first trip out or 250,000 miles. Your choice.

Opinions differ on the NV5600's strength.

More important than the power throughput of the trans is how you send the power through it. If you're bang shifting, doing clutch dumps, or loading it up with torque at low RPM, it will not be your friend for long. If you ease into the power, and shift smoothly, it can last a long time.

sounds good, thanks bud. correct me if i'm wrong, but your set up should be at least 575hp with the 100 nozzles?

the south bend dual disk is rated to 850HP and 1400 FTLBS of torque. as far as reliability.......it shifts as smooth as the operator and if you don't ride the pedal, from what other have told me, you will never have a problem out of the clutch. the trans is damn near bulletproof. so I think you are pretty good on everything......I have one as well so I might be a little partial to them.
