Mine has done this to me as well. If I wait for the chimes to stop, it'll fire every time. If I try to crank early, it might or might not fire up.

Mine has done this ever since I got it. If you immediately turn it back off, it fires up instantly like everyone else states. My batteries went bad last winter so I replaced both of them, still did it after I got new batteries. I replace my fuel filters every 3-4000 miles just to be safe, always does it even after brand new filters. It'll go a couple thousand miles no issues then do it twice or three times in the same week then go a long time again without issue. Not sure why it does it...

Yea I wait for the chimes to go off and it usually doesn't do it.
Hoping maybe after my tear down and EFI live tune it won't do it any
more.

Lots of filters (between fuel and oil on that schedule)! To the OP, this has happened twice in the last 20,000 miles for no rhyme or reason. Shut it off in panic and fires right up on the second attempt.

Same here. I think it is the tip start that is causing these issues.
