Losing Lock Up

Hey Guys I have a SunCoast M3ga Comp 68RFE trans and I'm problems with losing Lock up. I have replaced the Valve Body and Solenoid's and Im still losing Lock Up.

The truck will go thru the gears a few times and then it hangs in 5th gear to long and Lock up goes away or it shifts to 6th and then a few seconds later it drops out of lock out IM Getting Code P074. I have checked the Pins and Plug and all looks good I have tried Three Tunes and it does it on all the tunes.

Looking for sum help Please

P0740 (TCC Out of Range) means the TCC can't achieve (or maintain) full lockup at max duty cycle (of the TCC control solenoid). Your problem is likely either a bad converter (internal TCC problem) or a sticky TCC control valve (in the pump). Either way, you need to pull the trans. Typical repair is to pull the pump and check the valves. If one is sticky, clean it (or replace the pump assy if cleaning doesn't help). If valves are OK, replace the converter.

Okay thank you

Here is what has been done to date .

Installed a new Valve body with Solenoid pack. The Convertor is new only 2 months old

Hooked the truck up to a scanner today and drove around

Under 2000 rpm the transmission would shift and lock up with 0 on the slip when locked up
But if I go over 2000 rpm the lockup kicks out and does not lock up after. And then it's showing the computer I'd commanding 6th gear but only in 5th OD without lockup. And then sum time it will not want to shift out of 4 to 5 or to 6th when your over 2000rpm. I watched the load % and it's kicking out when I'm hitting around 45-55% load on the motor.

By the scan tool the inside of the transmission is good everything working as it should be.

How does it act in manual mode?

Manual mode seems to have less stock road-blocks in the ECM as far allowing lockup.

Have not try to see if it holds lockup in manual mode. We did go thru the gears on the manual mode and when in 6th the scan shows the computer commanding 6 but the scanner is showing it's in 5th OD

Couple questions.
Where did you buy the transmission?
Where did you buy the new valve body from?

Cool! Just wanted to eliminate the simple stuff. Beings you said you cant feel it unlocking but see it on the display of the mini makes me believe its electronic for sure. Will you be around Sport/Bossier tomorrow? I may be passing through at some point and would like to see what you are experiencing.
