All bootlegged non H&S. Do your homework if you purchase to keep your HG in place. EFI and a Edge CTS monitor would be my route if starting from scratch. Anarchy for the tuning.
Good point. We’re all on some sort of a budget, but sometimes you just need to fork out a little more. MM3 it is. Now just waiting till November to get my bonus.
Been on my H&S for 3 years now. Full timing, Performance tune, transmission tune, no defuels. Been friggen awesome with no issues. Really wondering where the hate is coming from?
The hate is, h&s has been out of business for years now. No new boxes have been made. What's on the market now is bootleg. Do you want bootleg tuning controlling the most expensive parts of you truck? If you have a good box with custom tuning great but if you're starting from scratch buy quality tuning. Dont be cheap tuning your engine and trans with bootleg garbage. The box tuning they came with isnt even good when compared to quality custom tuning
so I know this is a bit old... seems like I could find where there was a link for the tunes but is this still an option? Bought the truck with the tuner already and guessing it’s on box tune but would like to get trans tune also.. thanks for any info
Like the term "bootleg". You guys realize that H&S never made their own hardware, right? So technically, they are all bootlegs. So it just comes down to the software tune. Which with MCC you can do your own if you wish.
Personally, I don't equate the cost of a device to it's value/usefulness. But to each their own.
Been running one since 2010 on my truck in the sig on tow setting for 275k miles no issues. Bought this from H&S long before they got shut down by the EPA. With exception to when I do long hauls on freeway I get the annoying "service exhaust system now" in the EVIC but it goes away when in town again, I have no idea but don't care enough to mess with it
I know at some point I will have to swap over tunes but if it isn't broke I don't need to fix it. It also lets me monitor crap ( I monitor EGT, Boost, Fuel rail press and tans line pressure with mine) and reads codes so I'm fairly attached to it
Everything on the market now with their name on it is indeed bootlegged as mentioned and I wouldn't go down that road
Just my thoughts
