Questions for Guys running EZLink with GDP Tunes

Hey guys, couple of observations and questions about the GDP EZLink Tunes:

(1) Customer Support - I emailed tech support three times, never got a reply back. Called tech support, talked to a guys who had no clue, not sure if he even knew how to spell Cummins!
(2) GDP Web Site - I noticed, compared to CTT and Anarchy, the GDP web site lacks a lot far as information about their tunes. Information and manuals that are there are very limited in details, not impressed.
(3) "75HP, non-emissions, TCM" versus "150HP, non-emissions, TCM" tune - I noted that my truck seems to be more responsive with the 75HP tune versus the 150HP tune. Anyone else experience this?

what are you guys experiences with GDP? The tunes seem solid, no complaint there, just not impressed with their customer support and website, for the most part.

My truck is stock, including the 68RFE tranny, other that being deleted.

It's always amazing when people buy a $50,000 truck and then get the cheapest tunes they can find, and then are surprised when there are issues with the tunes or the company selling them. Buy from reputable tuners, like Anarchy, well known brands are worth paying for, when you are doing something that could easily brick your truck.

Wow, just whiners but no constructive answers to my questions! Seriously, Loki223. For your information, GDP is not a cheap, low-end company. they are very reputable and make very good tunes. If you had read my initial post, you would see that I was not complaining about their tunes, in fact, I stated I liked their tunes.

If you have no positive and informative information to provide in response to my questions, please keep your personal biased comments to yourself. You comments fall on deaf ears! You do not amaze me, not in the least!

"N of 60", just like in the previous post to another thread, your comments offer no positive or constructive information. Since "Amazed" seems to be the word of day, I have to say, I am amazed at the number of guys whom will reply to a thread, offer no constructive information and never answer the thread questions, but instead; spout off negative, frivolous garbage.

PLEASE, if you have nothing constructive to provide, keep your comments to yourself, this way all the community is better served.

Yours issues with #1 and #2 relate to GDP being a subpar company. Anarchy is known for answering after hours and on weekends, they can tell you what and why is going on in their tunes, and they are an incredibly knowledgeable company with amazing cusotmer support

Issue #3 is probably due to over fueling

GDP is not a well known and respected company. But, let me clarify. GDP that does tuning is NOT Glacier Diesel Power that is a well known and respected company with good customer service. GDP is based out of southern Idaho, and primarily sells their tunes via Ebay, have significant reports of poor customer service and sub par tuning. Like @N of 60 said, just because you are not getting the response you expected doesn't mean we aren't helping. You started by complaining about them, we agreed. You will be better off getting new tunes from a respected company that's known for good customer support, and has been a standard in the tuning industry since the early days. Just because you paid the same price for someone else to do the tunes, doesn't mean they are every bit as good. A lot of the lesser tuning companies copy old tunes from the older tuners, but they generally don't get everything quite right, which leads to issues down the road and potential damage to your truck

Excellent reply, Lokki223! Great info, and I appreciate the constructive criticism. Very good points, things I have not considered. I believe I will do more research with CTT and Anarchy, probably going to switch to one of these two for tunes.

Well, I went to CTT and purchased the CTT EZlink tunes for my truck. Very impressed, currently running the CMER 80HP, no emissions tune. Like the tranny shifting much better, no tranny flare at all! Talked to tech support, very helpful and I love their website.
