Column shifter to center consol shifter conversion

sooo here is the pics and the write up. first the pics of the parts.

insalled pics on the truck, cable routing, trans connection.

part#S

1GE44XDVAB column cover (grey)
68024883AC shifter jumper wire
52855896AA shifter
52109706AC lever manuel control
52104371AG bracket,shift cable
52855956AG gearshiftcontrol cable

remove the cupholder liners and tray liners

remove 2 screws in forward tray
remove 4 screws in the compartment.
remove the chrome bezel
remove the larger bezel
remove the compartment
remove the sterring column cover, 3 torx screws in the bottom.
remove the cover top first, then the bottom.
remove the lower console trim piece by the drivers foot.
remove the cover with your obd connector, below the steering column
disconnect the cable from the shift handle, and unbolt the bracket from the steering column.

go under the truck and disconnect the cable from the shift end at the trans.
unbolt the bracket from the trans that holds the cable.
pull the cable thru the firewall and remove.
to remove the column shift handle you need to take out the bolt completely and pull the handle toward the pass side. it is a little tight.

you will need 3 1/2x2" bolts to mount the new shifter.
i used the body style clips that slide onto the console w/1/4/20x1 3/4 for this.
drop the shifter into the hole, route the new cable into the console and attach the ball end to the shifter. then mount the cable into the holder at the end of the shifter assy.
locate the two wires 1 at the column that is black,1 to its left that is white. unplug these and connect them to you new jumper wire.
route the wire into the console and attach it to the shifter.
bolt down the console
route the new cable thru the firewall to the trans
go back under the truck and connect the new cable mount bracket to the trans where the old one was.
connect the cable to the ball end on the new shift lever and attach it to the trans.
there is also a light on the drivers side of the shifter, about center top,it has no connection to the harness so you will need to splice it into your dash lights. the red is + black = i just used the 12vpower outlet so they come on with the key. you can decide where to tap it.this light is for the P R N D illumination.
check for operation and toggle function,
assemble the parts and you are done.

hope this all makes sense, and helps someone.

Hi, you can connect into dash light circuit (E12) from pin 9 OR/GY to another OR/GY wire. On the models with heated rear seats, the switch is on the rear of the center console for this option, these switches are illuminated on the same dash light circuit (E12). When I did my shifter mod I connected to the dash light wire OR/GY that goes to the heated seat switches with a quick connect.
