2010 ST - Retrofit Tailgate Lock/Camera

I would like to install a tailgate lock and rear camera for my truck. I have an aftermarket head unit that has an input for a backup camera.

I have found this handle:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tailgate-Ba...72.m2749.l2649

and the part number for the OEM lock (68071073AA). Is that all I would need? What else?

No ideas? I bought the 68071073AA part, but it is not everything that I need to have a locking tailgate.

The unit appears to be identical to the one I installed last year.

Install was quick and without issue except wiring.

FWIW, You will need to 'tap' into the wiring harness for the Trailer wiring as the amperage to the backup lights are too low to trigger the backup camera.

Thanks for the information. What about the lock? Did you already have one or what parts did you have to buy?

I bought a similar backup camera to yours. The power from my backup lamps works fine on my truck.

As for the tailgate lock, my SLT had a lock from the factory. But I added an actuator from Pop and Lock so it works with the door locks. Same for the topper on my truck.

If you need just the lock mechanism, it's a pretty simple thing, but I'm not sure the part numbers. It's been well over a year since I had mine apart, so I can't recall exactly how it all works.

This is the actuator: https://www.popandlock.net/power-tai...50Ram2500-3500

You may also need this release lever to go with your lock cylinder: https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-...wtbDYtZGllc2Vs

Hope that helps.
