Lightning bolt issue.

Having a problem trying to figure out why my truck won’t start. Got a lightning bolt on my dash while driving to work today (2012 6.7) drove the last few miles to work and parked. Shut it off and now it won’t start. The lightning bolt isn’t there anymore, someone said something about replacing the batteries so I did. It will crank but it won’t start. Any suggestions or fixes will help. Ran like a top before today also I did replace the crankshaft position sensor a few days ago.

Do you have a way to pull codes? Having codes would help a lot. Also why did you replace the crankshaft sensor? did you have a code for a bad sensor?

P051c code but that was on there before this happened. Was told to replace the crankshaft position sensor. Other than that looks to be no codes. Just had that lightning bolt come up when driving. Parked my truck and now it won’t start.

I had an intermittent no start condition that sounds similar to yours. My lightening bolt would come on during driving sometimes. When the dealer diagnosed it they originally said it was the fan clutch that had shorted out and was causing issues. In the end it was both the fan clutch and the crank position sensor causing my issue.
