I donít see what the issue would be. Itís just an app like any other app you put on your phone.

That's what I figure, I just noticed several people were talking about having a separate Android device to use with AlfaOBD. I was just wondering if there was some issue I hadn't heard about.
Will probably grab that app and start playing with it. Got a couple of changes I'd like to make.

Iím in the Apple system. Have a PC, but didnít want to drag that out when I want to check/change something. Since there is no iOS support for AlfaOBD, I bought a Samsung Tab A. So I downloaded the Android version on the tablet. Tether it to my iPhone if I donít have WiFi. Did all my changes in my garage, so I used my home WiFi signal.
If I would have had an Android phone, that would have been fine too.

If I had an android phone I would have used it. I have an iphone and mac computer, to me the $40 dollar fire tablet was cheaper than a windows based item. Plus from what I have seen the android setup is a little more user friendly, and I just leave the tablet in my center console so I can read codes if needed.

Or do you download the app and then they ship the ODB reader? Thanks.
the OBD reader is a separate item from AlfaOBD. But is required to connect to your truck, OBDlink Mx or Mx+ from scantool is recommended.( the + just allows IOS support for other apps)

For the android version go to the google play store on your device and buy the app.

Windows I believe you have to wait for an access code
