2017 RAM 4500 4x4 ESC light stays on

Hey guys, I just bought a 2017 Ram 4500 4x4 Cummins and the ESC light stays on. If I hook up my El Cheapo scanner to it I get no codes. I can turn the ESC on and off with the button on the dash but the one ESC light always stays on. The truck is 100% stock and has 27000 miles on it. Any ideas?

Did you do a Brockman and pinch a wire with the diff cover?

Maybe if we start telling people that the brain is an app, they will start using it?

What the heck is a "Brockman"? I checked under the truck and the rear speed sensor wires look good and in place. The 4500 has a one piece axle housing like a Ford 9 inch so there is no diff cover.

Ah, yes, I forgot. @gsbrockman pinched stuff when he still had a 3500, then bought a 4500 to eliminate that potential problem.

You should be under the 3/36 warranty, unless your in-service date determines otherwise. Seems like a trip to the dealer is in order.

Any updates? The ESC should be a chassis code, which requires a fancier code reader to pick up. In my experience, that could be a crappy ABS sensor or steering wheel position sensor.
