Loosing center caps

I have a 2016 C&C and I have lost 4 or 5 of the wheel center caps. The first one was lost on the way home from the dealer. They replaced it. But I have lost several more over the past 2.5 years and quit replacing them because they are about $90 each and some have lasted only a day or 2.

Now, I've lost one off the front wheel.

Is there any way to keep them on? Am I doing something wrong? I don't like the look of my truck without them, but it's useless to replace them if they fall off right away.

I was traveling on I 70W in Indiana last September, there was and accident and we were in stop and go for about 5 miles. I spotted one of those caps so I got out and picked it up, in the next 5 miles or so I picked up a total of 5 of them. I can tell you this ALL of them had cracks around the stub that goes over the lug nut. I was amazed, I imagine they are about 75 bucks a pop.

I don't care for how the caps look, so I painted the rear hubs and the front cavity black, then put 7/8" stainless caps on the lug nuts.
Much cheaper than a single cap, and looks better in my opinion.

Maybe if we start telling people that the brain is an app, they will start using it?

Mostly caused by the yahoos rotating tires (like bulls in a chine cabinet) at your tire discount store!
