Problems with new truck

Just bought an 07 5.9. Have a few problems and wanted to get advice on it while I have a bit of a Grace period warranty. First off, I am pretty sure I have shuttle shift issues. The truck seems to shuttle shift sometimes from first to second, then also 2-3. It usually feels like it messes around with third until it finally shifts into overdrive. Can anyone post up the TSB for this if it applies to my year truck? Also, I noticed at idle that every few seconds the truck has a tiny surge in it. You can just barely feel a little shake intermittently. I have made sure the AC and all is off to make sure it is not that. I have a V2 with EFI and was able to test my balance rates. Everything was under 1.5 except for number 4. It was negative 2-4 depending on the load of the engine. Just in park it hovered around -2 and then when the AC kicked up it would start to climb towards -4. I didn't think about checking them in drive. Also, I was not able to select any transmission PID's in the scan program so I was not able to confirm the shifting issues but it definitely does not seem right. Does it not currently support checking current gear and TC status? Thanks in advance.

The tanny problems sound like just the standard ones, do a service/ band adjust and change the gov solenoid/transducer/output speed sensor.

Thanks. Do you think it is worth trying to get someone to look at it, pay the 100 dollar deductable, see if they actually find something etc. Or, just buy the correct parts now and have a good operating trans I know I did right?

It is through the independent dealer I bought it from. They told me get it to any ASE shop ASAP and they will get it straightened out. Still waiting on the email copy of exactly what it covers though. Is there one kit that gives me all of the mentioned updated parts? I have done some research on the issue and I've got the adjustment of the band figured out, seems easy enough.

no kit that i have seen, you can get the speed sensor from a parts store for 25 bucks. ebay has the bw solenoid and transducer for under 100 bucks all in 200 buck for the gov/transduc/speed sensor with fluid and filter.

ok just want to make sure i'm clear. The governor and transducer is one part. Then the speed sensor another. All I need is those two parts and the front band adjustment correct?

Thanks for the help. I might just order those and not deal with the deductable. It sounds like this should get it shifting good.

If the warranty does not cover the solenoid then step up and get the GM conversion.
DAP has them for $145 with free shipping. It is better than the factory solenoid. You'll have to get the transducer somewhere else, they don't have them.
Change the filter, adjust the bands, and it will be like new.

What about the BG solenoid in comparison to the GM conversion?
