idle adjustment

my early 04 used to idle at 800 rpm in gear and was smooth.now it idles at just over 700 and is rough.if i push gently on the pedal up to 800 i smooths rite out.can i just manually adjust the idle up or is a indication of another prob.

FCA is an electromechanical device. Service replacement item subject to wear, most wear occurs at where the motor runs at most of the time, IDLE. Wears out of spec.
More water, rust and dirt =s more wear.

Depends on what/where problem is, but have to start some where and no codes would also point to look at parts not monitored by ECM in fuel system. Ie most common like mentioned FCA ,injectors ,and fuel supply to CR.

And no you can not just adjust the idle.

99 2500, Quad cab, 4x4 47RE, BD pressure lock on it, small BD 90/140 chip on the VP 44 connection plug, 17" 3rd gen wheels. 3.55 diffs. Ruenell front bumper and warn winch, Rancho adj shocks. 663k miles.
