Pulled engine codes P0201 and P2146...

Running a steady 60 mph on the freeway. Engine light came on and motor immediately began to miss. No smoke out the pipe either running, idling or parked. Oil level stable. Starts easily w/no smoke. Obvious miss and poor power.

162,000 on the odometer...original OEM injectors in motor.
I have upgraded filtration as noted below.

Pulled codes P0201 and P2146.
Both associated with injectors, wiring to injector or ecm.

I know nothing about turning wrenches...

Just how f*cked am I?

I don't trust either of the Dodge dealers in town.
There is a Cummins Northwest shop 5-6 miles north.

Any other recommendations in central Willamette Valley (Eugene) in western Oregon?

Electrical circuit is not completed to the injector solenoids, could be plug connections, wires or an injector gone open circuit. One or more injectors is not firing fuel into the cylinder, so your running on 5 or less cylinders.

Check wiring to injectors on valve cover hopefully just shook loose.
If that is not cause I would ohm test wires from ecm to injectors, known issue with harness failing.

So....by not firing into one or more cylinders.....that's POSSIBLY better than over fueling 1 or more cylinders and frying pistons/cylinders....yes?

I'm looking for a ray of sunshine here...

Motor has been well serviced/maintained. Ran perfect prior to this.

Its not overfueling, its not fueling one or more cylinders, which means no engine damage just going by the codes. Its also not likely the ECM or whatever fires the injectors, but most likely a loose or bad connection to an injector. It could be a bad injector the electrical part gone open. An ohmmeter would help and some electrical sleuthing.

Most Cummins NW shops won't touch these light duty Dodge pickup motors. They don't have the special Mopar scan tool.

Your best bet for Eugene is Oregon Fuel Injection

https://oregonfuelinjection.com/

Get NEW factory Bosch only or BBI injectors. OFI only has the rebuilt Bosch off breed junke.

Or go to Source Diesel or Pure Performance, longer drive

Update

Did my homework were I wanted to get this thing looked at, sourced parts/prices for valve cover gasket/harness, injector (if one were needed) and car rental.

Was ready to call the hook for the tow.

Went out and jiggled wires and worked the connectors from valve cover gasket to ecm...got in and it fired right up. Ran smooth, steady and with full power. Drove it around the neighborhood. It's running smooth and with full power. Will get it out on the freeway next.

Could it really be this easy...?

Yes, sounds great for you. Just a bad connection in a plug or something like that.
