Ď04 Turbo in an Ď05?

My exhaust manifold and turbo pedestal both have a crack in them.

Iíve found an Ď04 turbo and manifold (both stock) locally for a good price.

Is it the same turbo or did something change in Ď04.5?

Thanks!

Turbo changed in 04.5 form an HE341 to and HE351. Check the fornt of the turbo, if it has a black solenoid or a place for i then it is an HE351 and the correct turbo.

It would be a step down as the He341 is not a big of a compressor, in addition to the electrical system you would need to work around.

Rebuild kits are not much and you could get a core turbine housing for not much.

Lots of take off manifolds available... Probably free or close to free, just pay for the ride.

I've found an he351cw housing/pedestal for $80 new (GYTURBO brand).

I've found a couple vids on rebuilding these, doesn't seem too tough.

Anyone have any experience with fleabay parts like this?
