Looking for advice for friend w/ 06

A friend of mine recently picked up a 06 2500 w/ 77k on it. My experience is with 2012 & current 2014 2500 so I'm thinking things are similar, with a few differences that I'm unaware of. I'm trying to give him some general suggestions, change oil, fuel, & air filters. I've suggested fleetguard filters. Also said it'd probably be a good idea to change diff fluids, trans, transfer case, and coolant due too the age of the truck. Steering was surprisingly tight, so I'm thinking the front end components are ok for now. Anything else anyone would suggest or advise against I'm all ears. Thanks
Edit 10/27
His belt is fraying, I detailed a little about it below. Any suggestions

Check for rust and clean/treat as possible.

Have him grab a Baldwin PF7977 fuel filter and drop that in right away, if he doesn't have an aftermarket lift pump.
Fluids are plentiful and many people use different brands. I personally run Amsoil but there are many other choices out there.
Like Dozer mentioned, check the rear wheel wells, door bottoms and other places for rust. Those are some of the most common areas on these trucks.
Here's a list from the Amsoil website on fluid types and capacities.

The power steering pump also runs the power brakes, so changing the PS fluid is another one that needs to be changed now and then.

Fleet guard are good filters! Looks like you have everything covered as far as maintaining it right off. Any upgrades?

So we installed a heater block cord and changed fuel filter yesterday on his truck. When he fired it up to make sure there were no leaks, after a few minutes of idling we heard a intermittent squeal sound and noticed his belt was fraying. Right after he bought it he replaced the belt because it was a little frayed. It's fraying closer to the engine side of the belt. He ordered a new tensioner and belt, but noticed today that the a/c compressor pulley randomly doesn't spin. Is this a common thing that fails on these.

So you've replaced all the pulleys or parts associated with the serpentine belt setup? My buddy had also bought a water pump to have a spare, but is planning on changing that while he's in there fixing the other stuff.

Ok I'm sure he's planning to check the rest of the stuff up front once the belt is off.

While he is there just replace them. If they still good keep as spare. Buy another belt for spare.

This is a great belt! Genos garage is a vendor on Igotacummins forum. They have pretty good products. Check their website out!
