48re skips second gear ?

first of all thank you everyone on cummins forum, your all a big help. okay 2005 3500 4wd diesel w/ 48re. I was leaving a red light and my tranny decided not to use 2nd gear anymore. it starts in first and I have to rev it and briefly let off and it hits 3rd. before this stop light, I never had trans issues, regular atf+4 fluid and filter changes, never any slippage, no over heating, no eng codes that my smarty junior will pick up, and hasn't been abused. I pulled my deep oil pan to find no broken parts or shavings and clean oil. ive adjusted the band to tight and loose to find there was a difference which makes me think its working. im about to replace gov. solenoid and transducer and speed sensor because their cheap, hoping for a miracle. does any one have suggestions and would the second gear servo have any part of this issue ?

Are you sure the band strut is still inplace? Did you chekc and make sure the anchors have not borke a river on the band? Is the band anchor still in 1 piece?

It sounds like something in the linkage for the band that is not up to par.

ya, all the band parts and pieces look good, anchors in place , drum and band itself show no signs of heat or damage. I actually just dropped the vb and just replaced the governor sensors and the output shaft sensor. adjusted the front band , put it all back together and just test drove it with the miracle I was hoping for. its now has second gear . my dumbass should have adjusted the rear but forgot with all this stress. thanks again for all the help on cummins forum and for the response !!!!!!!!!!!!!
