Yes, and I guess the EPA and the current administration really know what they are talking about.

Always ran atf in our 01 cummins,I tried 2 walmart 2 stroke in it and didnt get the smoothed out effect of the atf.On our 03 I figured id go with the atf as well, but I just didnt see the effect I got form it on the 01.So this last I tank I figured Id try wallys 2 stroke oil in the 03.It completely smoothed out the 03and the slight ticking it had.Not sure why but seems to me the cp3 like the 2 stroke oil and the vp44 like the atf.

Yes this was an EPA proposal but it had nothing to do with the current administration.
Bush was president when ULSD was mandated and Stephen L Johnson was head of EPA. Neither Bush or Johnson are part of the current administration.

well I had a long conversation with mopar1973man about this he also has a massive breakdown of this topic on his website. I myself tried the outboard 2 stroke right before my haul from san antone to houston and it seemed to help a lil but the biggest problem was I fought a major head wind the eeeeentire way there but my mileage seemed to improve a tad so probably did a good bit of help maybe 1 maybe 2 mpg. Now the problem with running used oil or atf ive seen pics of what that does to injector nozzles over time... holy crap you might wanna stop.

yall should definately check this out gooooobs of info this is just one article of 6 or more

Oh really? So my manual was printed 5 years before my truck was built? And you don't think Chrysler wouldn't put out a suppliment after the fact if ULSD was harming the older engines? You don't think Cummins would have it on its website?

Ditto that. The Love's down the road from me now has B10 stickers affixed to all of their pumps. I have zero issues driving an extra five miles for bio even though there is a dino diesel station about a mile from my place. I would run B20 as often as I could when I was stationed in Maryland and near Annapolis. I have 174,000 miles on my truck and at least 1/3 of those miles are running a biodiesel blend anywhere from B1-B99.

When I do run dino diesel I have switched from 2-stroke oil and now use Alterra DieselMaxx which I get locally for $12.50 agallon. If you go by the case study results that stuntjake posted (post #5), Alterra has a HFRR of 270 and one gallon treats 400 gallons of dino diesel. That puts it second only to biodiesel.

Without intentionally giving either argument more ammunition- forgive me if I'm overlooking an incredibly obvious piece of evidence ( because i do that all the kn time)
Is it not quite obvious that people stopped pulling 5,6, or 700,000 or even a million miles from a light duty pick up right around the same time the LSD and eventually ULSD was put on the market?

YES i know all the differences between a 94 12 valve 5.9 and an 04 HPCR 5.9, but I highly doubt the engineers would let any of those differences directly hinder the longevity of the engine.

And on that note, who cares what the factory says! the ball bearing is TRUTH. SEEK THE TRUTH. haha
