467.7

Hey guys im a 6.7 guy, my buddy has had an 06 5.9 for 10 years now and finally deciding to play with it. He likes how my 467 acts, he's looking for 750ish hp out of the truck. Help me out here am i way off base with telling him to run a 467.7/.83/1.0 100% overs and a 10mm pump to acheive his goal and have good drive ability. He doesn't really tow anything just a weekend warrior truck for him. Never owned a 5.9 so don't know how they act with that turbo and that amount of fuel. He does already have a fass 165 for it, its studded and he has a valair triple in it.(g56) Thanks in advance

Maybe .9 turbine housing. That used to be a very common setup. I guess the s3xx sx-es are the in thing now.

The fuel is good. For the turbo i'd look into the SXE 66/73/14.

Thanks, i'll have him check into the Sxe's. So a 300 frame turbo doesn't create alot of drive pressue when fueled on these 5.9's?

I think that will vary depending on how much fuel you have and what turbo you're running. I could be wrong, but i think that turbo i reccomend wouldn't have DP issues around 750HP. if it's gated, that's a plus.

Nice! Yea ive heard good things about them. The majority of the 6.7 crowd runs 300 frame if they tow full time and 400 for play and moderate tow, the issue we have is drive pressure with the 300 frame turbos as well as some 400's with the wrong set up or too tight if a housing. But too many variables to account for. I've seen the 369 sxe also anyone running that?

For a 5.9 I’d stick with a 300 frame since the displacement is less than the 6.7s. The SXE turbos are not all hype but the real deal and the fact they have the 90 elbow built on the housing is a huge benefit vs silicon boot or even vband IMO.

The 366 will be low to mid 700s with proper tuning and still be fine on the street with a .91 housing.

Shoot me a PM if you’d like some pricing.

Keep us posted on the build/selection
