Sled pulling is where I'm at, a lot of us in the 2.5 class run on the street and sled pull. That's why I was wondering about billet shafts but also I agree with you about 6th gear issues. I know most people would say just put in a 4500 and be done with it. I think there is a market for billet parts especially since superstick transmissions is doing a great job with rebuilding these. I'm sure there are other's doing good things. The way the bellhousing is integrated prolly isn't the best design but I still think there's a market for it.

Lots of transmissions have integrated bellhousings.

What shafts are you guys breaking?

Mostly the tail shaft, which is the main shaft and some input shafts. New Enterprise Engine makes a stub this so then one can just pull the rear case off and change it, but it's not billet. I'm kind a in the same spot you are 900hp mark. Here's what I mean about the stub shaft.

Liberty Gears offers an aftermarket 300m input. I had it. When Cody had my trans he traded me in a stock one because it was untested in his eyes and he didn't want any trouble for me. Said he wanted to try it out in his truck. No sweat off my back.

Did he ever try it what is the results?

The Amsoil shifts well. The only notchiness I get is when the trans is cold (below 50*F) for the first 1-2 shifts.

His racetrack is on the back burner as far as I can tell.

Transtar sells "AT" stamped parts. I asked if they had anything else and they said no. Might have been mistaken, I can't say.

Blumenthals and Superstick are both using the "Circle K" stamped stuff, which has Mopar part numbers stamped in as well. NCA above has gone through and explained why these are not as good as original NV parts. They seem to be the best of what is currently available though, and I am using them for the input/drive gear pair in my broken transmission, putting it back in the truck and turning the power down for the time being.


SyncroTech is a company that makes aftermarket carbon fiber lined syncros. They are suspiciously cheap, but I bought a set and they are going in my rebuild.

Lastly, in my non-existent spare time I have been calling around to see if anyone is interested in making some gearing for us. I have an NOS NV5600 that I guess I am going to tear down in order to use the parts for patterning.

Can somebody explain what AT and CIRCLE K parts are? What's the difference?
