pulls left

alignment shop say's the alignment is "spot on" but the truck pulls to the left. all the tires are inflated to 65psi. all are still flat across the surface, no cupping. drove across a rough section(wash board) of hwy last night, and the rear of the truck danced to the right. it has never done this before so this is why i took it to the alignment shop.

i've checked for sticky calipers, loose track bar and anything else that maybe causing this.

what should i look for or do next? thx for your help

Could be radial pull. Jack up the front end and rotate the tires to see if the pull goes away.

Might want to think about lower the rear tire pressure. 65 psi is a bit much for that size of tire when not loaded down.

Yes, I'd say possibly radial pull. Do you have an aftermarket steering stabilizer? If so, how much nitrogen psi is in it? definitely lower the tire pressure in the rear. I would actually lower the front a little as well since its an E rated tire and a 20".

60 psi would put me sideways over bumps. Lowered rears to 45 psi and it's a lot more stable. As recommended, I would rotate the tires to see if it changes the pull.

If you are running the Nitto Trail Grapplers like I suspect from you signature then I would say that is your culprit. I had a left pull on my 07 after switching to those tires and I have had few customers report the same issue.

thx for the intell fella's. i aired down the tires(frnt 60psi / rr45psi) last night but haven't driven the trk as of yet. should be rollin' out for a 30 or so mile trip later today.
hopefully that will cure some of the concerns i have. i'm hoping to rotate the tires also today.

was wondering if rotating the tires in a cross pattern ( X ) is acceptable practice? i have been using a pattern that i got accustomed to with my 97 f-350 dually(front to back)
(and yes, everything in my SIG is current and in use)

I always go by the manual for radials, which calls for front-to-back while crossing two of them. Then each tire eventually is used on all four corners. Can't remember if they say cross the fronts as they go to the back or verse-visa, but it doesn't matter if you rotate them the same way each time.

I had a similar issue with my truck a few years ago. I had the alignment checked it was fine. I had the two front tires rotated, still had pull. The problem was the tires were separating in the radial cord. The dealer replaced the two tires and the pull was gone. Just an off issue when the tire installer went to balance one of my rims it had a defective run out/defect and would not balance right. The chrome rim was replaced under warranty.

Original owner 1995 CTD, pretty much stock. Leer XL100 shell, Firestone airbags.

It's your tires. I hate (with a passion) my trail grappler MT's. I had Toyo M/T's on before and they had a slight pull to the right (common of that tire, which can be remedied with a steering stabalizer) and as soon as I put these on there was a HUGE pull to the left and actually after awhile of driving kinda strains your arm! My alignment is spot on as well and axle is centered in the truck. Those tires are complete $hit if you ask me. Won't ever buy them again.

My truck does the same. I have Nitto Dura Grapplers. Junk tires anyways despite this problem.

I have not had my alignment checked ($80-$100 is rediculous), however before these tires went on, my truck tracked straight as an arrow. I have not hit any potholes/curbs/rocks/etc...either. Rotating does not do anything to help.
