Got a weird one for ya'll

Went to the dealership to get a new key cut and programmed.
Wrench bender came out with his laptop and plugged into my OBD2 port.
Then the strange stuff happened.
It was reading some parts for a 2006 Dodge Durango.
It shows my 5.9 HO Cummins but won't let him in to read anything or program a chip key.
He was baffled and handed me my now very expensive spare door key.

How could my ignition set be for a Durango?

What would of been changed to do this and anybody have any idea on what I have to do to get it back to my truck so I can get my key programmed and would that have anything to do with my RKE not functioning??

Thanks in Advance

Dan

Some one swapped cluster from Durango in your truck??
AFAIK certain chips on cluster are write only ie able to be flashed/changed by DRBIII scanner.
Need to find cluster repair shop that can program/repair.

Don't know how that coulda happened. All the gauges are for a diesel.Fuel gauge and that stuff.

Stealership is still baffled as of yesterday when I took it in for something else and they actually asked to come out free of charge and plug into it and see if maybe the tech got it wrong but nope it's all kinds of messed up.

Wondering if changing ignition switch and the BCM would fix it?

There is no separate BCM module in these trucks, the Cluster AKA, EMIC, ElectroMechanical Instrument Cluster for this vehicle also includes the hardware and software necessary to serve as the electronic body control module and is sometimes referred to as the Cab Compartment Node or CCN. Switch should not matter, 2006 Cummins Ignition switch is same as 07-09 Dodge Durango.
WAG, very hard to find good 2006 cummins cluster, leads me to believe some sort of parts switch by previous owner??
