So the imfamous blend door. Well output in the cab for ac or heat was very low, could hear the fan ramp up but output just wasnt where its supposed to be. Took the blower motor out and of course the door right above it was broke and just laying there, so i just pulled it out. Re installed the blower motor and boom output from the vents is strong, changes to all the settings like its supposed to and even the defrost blows nice and strong now.
Just food for thought if those of you run into that particular door broke, i just pulled mine out with no ill effects it would seem. The rest of my blend doors work properly, knock on wood, and now you can actually feel the ac again.

It works lol no I'm not exactly sure but I believe it will only bring in fresh air now. It won't recirc the air as it cant block off the outside input to circulate the cabin air.

Run it how you want but the recirc door drops my temps about 8 more degrees in the cab. 30$ for a upgraded one off amazon that takes 45min to replace isn't too bad of a job.

Yea I've seen the vids and threads on replacing it. I just never use my recirc in any of my vehicles, never have really. Actually rarely use my AC unless it's over 95 or long road trips and the wife and kids are in the truck. May eventually replace it, maybe not but for now it flows way more air which is what it was lacking before

I did exactly the same thing when mine broke. Just pulled it out. I have never used recirc, my A/C has always been cold enough. Everything else works great. If something else breaks I'll fix the whole thing.

With Recirc door deleted its pulling from inside and outside. If you put some thick foil tape over the inlet behind the glovebox then it will be outside only.
