Also the shop could've swapped the overdrive unit from an re from a v8, they will interchange and it's a cheap way to do a rebuild, But there is a big difference in the internal of a v10 and diesel overdrive unit. Unless you check for yourself you may never know.
I never knew this until I was rebuilding the Jasper trans that came with my truck. Different clutch counts and a different backing plate if I remember correctly.
