Has anyone successfully installed a trailer camera to be used with their 19 Ram yet? I have the 12" screen if that makes any difference? I know there is a factory wiring kit you have to purchase and a flash I believe for the early model 19s. I was wondering if anyone has done so yet? I'm looking at getting a new 5thwheel and would like to know if a Furion camera would work with the factory set up? Also has anyone been able to get TTPMS setup in their 19 HDs?
I ordered a 2020 and the TTPMS still isn't available.
, all Furion cameras are digital wireless/WiFi and only work with their monitors. Also, many of the FW that come with the furion prep are only the base mounting plate, cover, and power.
If you can get the 12-pin factory harness and go wired, the Ford camera is the same thing and readily available cheaper on ebay. There's also a few camera places that sell kits. Also a few that sell add-on video switch boxes but I can't vouch for what MY's they work with. https://axxessinterfaces.com/product...w%2F+U-connect
Also connectronix (?)
Frankly, both the Furrion and factory cameras are crap with limited quality and limited viewable area for my requirements (both backup and observation). Furrion cameras are something like 120* or 130* diagonal FOV so you won't see both your bumper if you need to hitch and the horizon if you want to use it for observation. I wouldn't be able to see past the end of my (double tow) boat if aimed to see the hitch.
This is likely where I'll be looking to get a (better) camera setup than factory. https://camera-source.com/2017-super...ailer-cam.html
They have the 150* diagonal Sony UCCD cameras with NV LED available. 150* diagonal will give you 90* vertical. They don't currently show a setup to plug straight into the factory 12-pin, but have their own plug and harness to connect to the wiring on the frame.
These guys might be another option - if only for a wiring setup - but their camera's are also crap 120*. https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT92...tcv-ford4.html
